Ensys launches SFIAassess

Ensys Consulting is proud to announce the launch of SFIAassess, a web-based tool for undertaking SFIA assessment of skills.

SFIAassess is supported by proven technology, in use in 80 countries around the world.  SIFAassess provides an easy to use interface for staff to work through their own SFIA skills assessment, against the SFIA framework.  Assessments can be tailored to meet clients needs, incorporating additional HR frameworks as required.  Assessments can be reviewed periodically and are added to an individual’s Personal Profile.  Staff can forward their assessments to their Manager for review and endorsement, allowing the assessments to form part of overall performance management systems.

Our clients find SFIAassess simplifies the process of implementing SFIA into their organisations.  In addition, it provides businesses with a database of their internal IT resources. allowing deeper insights into areas of skill shortage, staff training needs and allocation of staff to projects.

If you are interested in improving the management of your IT staff, if you want to do more with less and provide improved IT services to your business, SFIA is a great way forwad.

If you would like to know more about SFIA assessments or to arrange a demonstration of the functionality of SFIAassess, contact Ensys Consulting for an obligation free discussion.

New Solution for IT Resource Management comes to Australia

Brisbane based IT consulting company Ensys Consulting has recently released a new and comprehensive service offering for SFIA – the Skills Framework for the Information Age.  Ensys was recently awarded authorised SFIA Training Provider status by the SFIA Foundation in London  and can now offer SFIA Accredited Consultant training across Australasia and South-East Asia.

Accredited SFIA consultant, Keith Butcher, says that SFIA is a practical tool used to assess IT skills and manage IT employees effectively. SFIA was developed in the UK and has been successfully implemented in more than 80 countries and recently adopted by both the Queensland and Commonwealth Governments.

SFIA is a very practical two-dimensional model for the IT industry, comprising skills descriptions which are grouped into functional categories and subcategories and levels of competency, from entrant to highly experienced professional. SFIA provides you with organisational-wide insights into staff skills and resource allocation. (For more information about SFIA visit www. ensys.com.au).

“With our recent approval as Authorised SFIA Training Provider, Ensys consulting can now offer clients a comprehensive package of SFIA services.  Our Accredited SFIA Consultants can advise you on strategies to assist with the successful implementation of SFIA within your organisation. Ensys training will provide your staff with background information about SFIA as well as more detailed information to support their self-assessments.  Ensys help ensure that maximum benefits are obtained from SFIA.”

Ensys Consulting’s  specially developed SFIA training courses are designed to give an insight into the benefits of SFIA and to give practical assistance to organisations in implementation of SFIA.   We can also provide training to assist in the moderation process, in devising professional development opportunities for IT staff and enhancing career planning.  Ensys Consulting is the only Australian SFIA Training Partner providing SFIA consulting and SFIA accredited training services throughout Australia.

SFIA is already a government standard in the UK and is being used by major companies world-wide.  It is currently being implemented in the Queensland and Commonwealth Governments and is also being used by a range of other Australian businesses including Queensland Rail and Westpac. In addition, the Australian Computer Society has adopted SFIA as part of their Certified Professional program. “This innovation is coming to Australia and spreading across the country – is just a matter of time”, Keith Butcher says.

After implementing SFIA in your organisation, you can confidently take decisions which can provide benefits for years. SFIA is an innovative way to reduce your expenses on HR management and training. Moreover, self-assessment is beneficial for employees themselves as they can get a better understanding of their skills and plan their career pathways.

Ensys Consulting is currently offering a one day Introductory SFIA Workshop including a presentation about the benefits and opportunities SFIA creates for businesses as well as information on assessing key personnel using the SFIA framework.  For more information about SFIA and how to register for a workshop visit our website www.ensys.com.au or email: info@ensys.com.au .
